By accessing or using DearPlay (the "Service"), including the macOS application and this website (www.dear-play.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
DearPlay is a macOS video player application that provides video playback, AI-powered subtitle generation, built-in web browser, and stream download features. The website provides product information, downloads, community boards, and changelog.
3. License
DearPlay grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application for personal, non-commercial purposes during the beta period. The software is provided free of charge during beta. Future versions may include paid features.
4. User Accounts
You may sign in using Google OAuth to access community features such as posting and commenting. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not impersonate others or create accounts for fraudulent purposes.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you post on the community boards. By posting, you grant DearPlay a non-exclusive license to display your content on the website. You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates third-party rights.
6. Prohibited Uses
You may not: (a) reverse-engineer or decompile the application; (b) use the Service for any illegal purpose; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; (d) use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the website; (e) distribute the application without authorization.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. DearPlay does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. The application is in beta and may contain bugs.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DearPlay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
